GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or utilising the facilities at Gentle Ground, including making a booking, you hereby agree to comply fully with all applicable laws and regulations of Singapore. Users shall conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner towards the premises, staff, and other users. The provision or receipt of body massage treatments or services at the premises located at 38B Circular Road is strictly prohibited. Any breach of these Terms may result in immediate and permanent revocation of access rights. Gentle Ground reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at its sole discretion without prior notice.
2. Reservation and Registration
2.1 All bookings must be made exclusively via the official website at least twelve (12) hours prior to the scheduled session.
2.2 Confirmation of booking shall be contingent upon successful payment processing and receipt of a confirmation email. Gentle Ground disclaims any liability for errors arising from incorrect information provided by the user.
2.3 All users are required to complete a Pre-Booking Registration Form with accurate personal and/or business information prior to making a booking.
2.4 We reserve the right to request updated registration details at any time to ensure compliance with local regulations and to keep our records current.
3. Operational Protocols
3.1 Users must comply strictly with all applicable local regulations at all times while on the premises.
3.2 Body massage services are expressly forbidden on the premises at 38B Circular Road.
3.3 Any illegal activities, aggressive solicitation, or attempts to solicit or poach clients from other users are prohibited and may lead to immediate termination of access rights.
4. Security and Safety
Any unauthorised access or attempts thereof shall be reported to law enforcement authorities without delay.
5. Payment and Financial Terms
5.1 All payments made to Gentle Ground are strictly non-refundable.
5.2 Unused bookings or purchases shall remain valid for a period of two (2) months from the date of purchase, after which they shall expire without recourse.
6. Facility Use and Charges
6.1 Access to facilities is restricted strictly to the time slot booked. Early entry before the booked time shall incur additional charges at a rate of SGD 45 per hour or part thereof.
6.2 A grace period of five (5) minutes before and after the booking is granted free of charge.
6.3 Extended occupation of the space beyond the booked time shall be subject to overtime fees at SGD 45 per hour or part thereof.
6.4 Users must vacate the premises entirely between bookings on the same day; failure to do so constitutes unauthorised use and shall incur additional fees.
6.5 Extensions or gap usage must be pre-approved at least twelve (12) hours in advance via email or WhatsApp; unauthorised use shall be charged accordingly.
7. Locker Use
7.1 Locker rentals are subject to fees as follows: complimentary for day use; SGD 5 per night for overnight use; and SGD 40 per month for monthly use.
7.2 Lost locker keys incur a replacement fee of SGD 10.
7.3 Overstay fees of SGD 5 per day shall apply for items remaining beyond the rental period.
8. Non-Business Use
8.1 By booking, users affirm that the rented space shall be used exclusively for non-commercial purposes.
8.2 Permitted activities include personal practice, non-commercial content creation, receiving licensed services, private meetings, and unpaid workshops.
8.3 Prohibited activities include any form of commercial service, business operation, employment of paid personnel, listing or advertising Gentle Ground’s address, promotion of services using our premises, and any body massage services.
9. Use of Address
Use of Gentle Ground’s address (38B Circular Road) for business registrations, marketing, or online presence without prior written consent is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of access privileges without refund and potential reporting to relevant authorities
10. Operating Without Required Permits and Documentation
Unauthorised commercial use, particularly by individuals without proper work authorisation, may subject the user to fines up to SGD 20,000, imprisonment of up to two (2) years, and/or cancellation of valid permits. Gentle Ground shall bear no liability for any such penalties.
Access to Gentle Ground’s premises will be denied without refund if a user fails to submit a valid work pass, provides an expired or inappropriate pass, or does not comply with documentation requirements. Misuse of the space for business activities without proper clearance, or any form of misrepresentation, may result in revoked access and/or reporting to the relevant authorities.
11. Premises Protocol
11.1 Food and animals are prohibited within the premises.
11.2 The reception area is designated solely for temporary waiting; all consultations and treatments must occur within the studios.
11.3 Studio users must respect capacity limits, maintain cleanliness, and restore furniture to original placement.
11.4 Users are responsible for hygiene, proper use, and disposal of linens and equipment.
12. Damage and Loss
Users shall be liable for any damage or loss incurred during their usage and agree to compensate Gentle Ground by way of charges applied to the card on file.
13. Legal Provisions
13.1 Misrepresentation
It is important to avoid misrepresenting or trying to deceive others about any affiliation with Gentle Ground Pte Ltd. This includes using our company name, logo, and misleading your guests by claiming that you are part of or associated with Gentle Ground. We retain the right to pursue compensation for any attempts to mislead your guests into believing that you have any ownership of Gentle Ground or the shop. If any disputes arise between your guest and yourself based on groundless assumptions that we are representing you, you will be held responsible and required to compensate Gentle Ground.
13.2 Limitation of Liability
Gentle Ground Pte Ltd shall not be liable for any injuries sustained by you or your guests while on our premises. Additionally, we do not assume responsibility for any loss of personal belongings or valuables within our premises. While we may engage third-party vendors or suppliers for maintenance and servicing of our premises, neither they nor we shall be held liable for any loss of personal property or valuables.
13.3 Information Security & Confidentiality
All users are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any proprietary information and trade secrets that may be shared within our facilities. You agree that any confidential information shared by Participants or any of our representatives is confidential and proprietary and belongs solely and exclusively to the Participant who discloses it or to us. Not to disclose such information to any other person or use it in any manner other than in discussion with Participants during training sessions.
13.4 Data Protection
By making a booking, you agree that Gentle Ground Pte Ltd may collect, use, and disclose your personal data for sharing marketing materials that you have agreed to receive. If you wish to opt out of our communications, please send your request to hello@thegentleground.com.
13.5 Operational Compliance & Team Management
All users must maintain current and valid permits, licenses, and insurance coverage for any activities conducted on the premises. You confirm that all necessary approvals have been obtained for your team’s activities. For those who bring in a team or staff, you acknowledge that these individuals operate under your direct responsibility. You are required to ensure that each person holds the appropriate and valid work passes or permits in accordance with Singapore law. Gentle Ground does not assume responsibility for verifying third-party employment status.
13.6 Indemnification
By using our facilities, you agree to release Gentle Ground from liability and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gentle Ground Pte Ltd and their directors, officers, agents, servants, and employees from any losses, claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses that may arise from your use of our facilities or the actions of your clients and guests.
14. Subscription Terms
14.1 Subscription termination must be submitted in writing at least seven (7) days prior to the expiry date.
14.2 Subscriptions renew automatically, and payments are non-refundable.
14.3 Gentle Ground reserves the right to modify subscription terms, benefits, and pricing at any time.
